Classically trained in piano and composition, Jasper Ku is a Taiwanese composer based in Los Angeles. He has written music for such diverse genres as concert music, film, dance and visual arts, earning him the 2024 BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship.

 

Jasper's favorite composers include Alexandre Desplat(The Shape of Water) and Hans Zimmer(Dune). Incorporating these influences in his music, Jasper's film score for A Red Rose for My Love won Best Original Score in numerous film festivals, and his concert piece Happy Endings placed 2nd in the ScoreLive Main Title Competition Christmas 2025.  

 

Outside of composing, Jasper is also a commercial dancer, performing at Stardust hosted by model/DJ Shaun Ross and clothing brand Empath.
